Salary is restricted to above range and will not exceed the maximum of the range. Salary offers are non negotiable and offers are determined and are based upon related work experience submitted on resume.

This individual serves as the program manager and staff supervisor for the Amazon MRA program designed and developed for Amazon RME division. Responsibilities include oversight for budget development and technical leadership for MRA programs; staff supervision and curriculum development; scheduling and program growth.  Reports directly to the Dean of Workforce, Community Engagement, and Technical Education.

*This position is contingent upon Amazon funding sources. This position will include the duties of classroom instructor and managing the program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaches courses in accordance with the master course outline and within the schedule of classes.
  • Recommends changes to the instructional programs and curricula as required.
  • Keeps and submits appropriate academic records in accordance with program requirements.
  • Maintains instructional effectiveness by ongoing self-evaluation and incorporating current developments in instructional and learning strategies.
  • Assists the College in keeping technology, facilities, and equipment current.
  • Plans with the assistance of the Program Director to insure availability of supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment requisite to the successful teaching of assigned classes.
  • Assists in preparation of academic schedules specifically the manufacturing technology offerings.
  • Coordinates program activities with lab facilities or organizations providing similar training for the College.
  • Prepares the recommended schedule for all specialized courses
  • Serves as a liaison to LCCC Faculty insuring basic instruction meets requirements for students to transition into advanced certificate and degree programs.
  • Encourages and assists students in utilizing self-service features available through the online platform.
  • Maintains memberships in professional organizations related to the program.
  • Promote safety culture and safe work environment for students and others.
  • Ensures that comprehensive, high-quality manufacturing training is provided in a proactive and responsive manner.
  • Represents the college in a positive manner to students, business-oriented and community-based organizations.
  • Conducts business operations such as requisitions, purchasing functions and budget management related to manufacturing programs.
  • Works cooperatively with college administrators to plan, schedule, and deliver training programs.
  • Carries out special projects as may be assigned.
  • Participates as requested in scheduled meetings 

Qualifications:

Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Foreign degrees – must provide a US equivalency report of your degree credentials with your transcript, if not, your resume will not be accepted.

Certifications

  • Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)

Work Experience

  • Three or more years’ experience in higher education or with an organization that offers educational or developmental services.
  • Experience in adult or continuing education.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of manufacturing skill development. Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors; teamwork/cooperation; initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge. 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
