Work Schedule
FT 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Requires some evening and weekend hours as well as working 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the months of January and August. This position also requires hours during the winter break in December. This position is primarily located at the Morgan Center but may require travel to other LCCC sites.
Salary Ranges
$16.75 - $21.73
Hourly Rate offer is based on related work experience.

Summary
This position will service as a resource and/or guide to assist students through the various steps required to become a fully registered LCCC student. The Financial Aid & Enrollment Generalist works closely with students seeking admission to the College, completing placement testing, financial aid paperwork and enrollment into courses. The Financial Aid & Enrollment Generalist also assists in the presentation, explanation and administration of various federal, state, institutional, third-party student financial assistance programs. Work involves varied and complex duties subject to intense regulation and requires discretion, initiative, attention to detail and person to person counseling. This job entails heavy customer contact including but not limited to face to face, virtual or telephone contact. The Financial Aid & Enrollment Generalist is directly responsible to the Director of Site Educational Services -LCCC Tamaqua with indirect responsibility to the Associate Director of Financial Aid – Student Services and Outreach
This position is primarily located at the Tamaqua site, but may require travel to other LCCC sites and off-campus sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Guides current and prospective students through the steps necessary for admission and enrollment including financial aid and payment information.
- Assists students and prospective applicants with completion of application forms and paperwork needed to secure and maintain financial aid funding including completion of the FAFSA.
- Assists students with enrollment and class registration activities and provide guidance throughout the registration process
- Required to attend and/or present at all College Financial Aid Workshops, FAFSA Completion Events, Financial Aid Information Sessions, Open House and other programs on-campus and off-campus area high schools and other community organizations as needed. Some travel may be required.
- Responsible for distributing, collecting, reviewing and scanning documentation for correctness and completion.
- Assists faculty and staff with daily operations and provide general information about college resources and procedures.
- Proctors assessment, makeup, and distance learning tests
- Be familiar with campus resources in order to properly direct and refer students to appropriate offices, faculty, support services and any other area that may assist the student in achieving their academic objectives.
- Receives and handles incoming calls and provide information on all areas of credit, non-credit and workforce training.
- Assists with inventory, stock and usage data for the Morgan Food Share and Cougar Cabinet programs
- Utilizes administrative software systems such as Ellucian Banner.
- Oversees special scholarship programs particularly those that are regional by distributing and collecting data for scholarship and application purposes.
- Undertakes specialized projects, duties and/or functions as assigned
- Reports any equipment and building maintenance/repairs to Director of Site Educational Services-LCCC Tamaqua
- Develops and maintains an operations manual for this position
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required
Education
- High School Degree or equivalent.
Certifications
- Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- One (1) or more years’ experience in a business or financial environment.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and other general office equipment.
- The ability to work with frequent interruptions and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge.
- Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge
Preferred
- Associate degree in business, management, accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish)
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
