Library and Educational Support Services

The library and Educational Support Services (ESS) provide a variety of free services for students to discover their individual academic skills and to become self-sufficient, independent, life-long learners. Services are offered by Disability Support Services (DSS) learning specialists, Career & Technical Education (CTE) learning specialists, professional and peer tutors, and the Keystone Education Yields Success (KEYS) grant facilitator. The library and tutoring services are located in room 212. DSS and CTE learning specialists, and KEYS grant facilitator are located on the first floor. Tutors offer assistance in specific subject areas such as writing, math, and science. Learning specialists offer assistance in learning skills such as how to study, how to take a test, how to take notes in class, etc.

Librarians offer assistance with using library resources and with the research process. Librarians are also available at Main Campus at 610-799-1150.

Noncredit Career Pathways

The Donley Center offers noncredit programming to help students  enter a career pathway. GED preparation, GED testing, English as a second language, and short term job training programs.

The Donley Center site offers a variety of services for Spanish speaking students like English as a Second Language courses, bilingual and multilingual faculty and staff, and a wide variety of student support options in a number of subject areas. Additionally, LCCC’s ASPIRA first-year experience program supports Latino/a/x students during their transition to college.

Parking Information

Allentown Parking Authority Offers Special Rates

LCCC students and Donley Center staff and faculty will have access to special parking rates in downtown Allentown when attending class or working at the Donley Center, thanks to a partnership with the Allentown Parking Authority (APA). Parking will be offered at the Allentown Transportation Center Deck at 603 W. Linden Street (Entry at 110 N 6 th Street)). LCCC students and staff and faculty will pay $60 to park approximately 20 hours per week or 70-90 hours monthly.

You must apply for monthly parking permits on the APA website and follow the directions. Be sure to select “LCCC part-time staff or student – ATC” for the $60/month rate. You must submit proof of vehicle registration, drivers license and student ID. Noncredit students who don’t have a student ID can request a verification letter by sending a request to Donley@LCCC.edu. The college will verify enrollment and employment monthly to report to the APA for this special rate.

Purchases can be made after Feb. 1. Accepted forms of payment are credit/debit or prepaid Visa. The permit will automatically renew each month, pending enrollment/employment verification.

Make sure you select the correct option to purchase, select the right garage (ATC Deck) and upload your verification documents. Follow instructions on the website and subsequent communication from the APA.

On Street Parking
Meters that are situated on Hamilton Street, from 4th to 12th Streets, and the unit blocks north and south of Hamilton Street (Linden to Walnut Streets) from 4th to 12 Streets have a rate of $2.00 per hour, and payment may be made with coins, bills, credit/debit cards, or with your Park Mobile or PayByPhone app. 

Germania Lot – 108-126 S. 7th Street (preferred lot by LCCC students and staff)
Rate: Public parking – $1.00 for the first hour and $2.00 for hours 2-6. Special Event pricing may apply. Monthly permit – $72 per month beginning April 1, 2024. Holds approximately 125 spaces.

North Lot112-118 N. 7th Street
Rate: Public parking – $1.00 for the first hour and $2.00 for hours 2-6. Special event pricing may apply. Monthly permit – $80 per month. Holds approximately 175 spaces.

Allentown Transportation Deck
North 6th and Linden Streets. This deck was built in 2007 and includes an intermodal transportation center. Conveniently located near the Allentown Art Museum, Baum School of Art, Miller Symphony Hall, and Johnny’s Bagels. RATE: Public parking: $1.00 for the first hour and $2.00 for hours 2-6. Special event pricing may apply. Monthly permit: $125 per month. Holds approximately 470 spaces and has a height clearance of 7’2”.

Community Deck – 13 S. 6th Street
Access is available from South 6th Street and Walnut Street. Nearby businesses: Tacos & Tequila. RATE: $1.00 for the first hour and $2.00 for hours 2-6. Special event pricing may apply. Monthly Permit: $125 per month. Holds approximately 950 spaces and has a height clearance of 7’2”.

Strata Deck – 39 N. 6th Street
It holds approximately 30 spaces. The upper has a height clearance of 8’10’, and the lower has a height clearance of 7’6.” Nearby businesses include: Allentown Parking Authority, Johnny’s Bagels, and Miller Symphony Hall. RATE: Public parking $1.00 for the first hour and $2.00 for hours 2-6. Monthly permit – $125 per month. Special event pricing may apply.

The Spiral Deck – 800 block of W. Linden Street
This deck is visually distinct due to the double ‘helix’ (corkscrew-like) design of the exit ramp. This deck is conveniently located for patrons of the shops and restaurants located in the vibrant 800 and 900 blocks of Hamilton Street. RATE: $1.00 for the first hour and $2.00 for hours 2-6. Special event pricing may apply. Monthly permit – $125 per month. Holds approximately 645 spaces and has a height clearance of 6’7”.

Maple Street Deck – 920 West Maple Street
Located in the 900 block of Maple Street with an entrance/exit on Maple Street and Walnut Street. This deck Is conveniently located for patrons of the shops, restaurants, and offices located in the vibrant 800 and 900 blocks of Hamilton Street as well as the DaVinci Science Center. RATE: Public parking $1.00 for the first hour and $2.00 for hours 2-6. Special event pricing may apply. Monthly permit – $100 per month. Holds approximately 1,100 spaces and has a height clearance of 7’0”.

PPL Arena Garage – 712 W. Linden
Does NOT require pull-in parking (backing into a spot is allowed). RATE: Public parking $1.00 for the first hour and $2.00 for hours 2-6. See website for more information.
