Job Title:                        Admissions Representative – Schnecksville

Summary

This position is based at the main campus in Schnecksville. It will require traveling for admissions events as assigned. This position is an integral part of the Admissions team and will involve participation in a highly customer-service-oriented environment. The position will maximize the utilization of the Salesforce/TargetX recruitment platform, implement the recruitment territories assigned, and fulfill the Admissions Department’s mission and goals. This position recruits students for fall, winter, spring, and summer semesters and works closely with other personnel at other sites. There will be evening and weekend hours—reports to the Executive Director of Enrollment Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and Prepare

  • Review, revise, and implement recruitment territories with the supervisor annually.
  • Develop and implement an annual month-to-month recruitment and post schedule in the TargetX/Salesforce Events module.
  • Create and develop new student contact records based on recruitment visits and follow up with leads prospective and applicant students regularly.
  • Develop and create an annual list of events on Salesforce, e.g. virtual/in-person info sessions, open house events, etc. 

Implementation

  • Lead, coordinate, and conduct on-campus tours for potential prospective students and applicants, including individuals, families, high schools, and community groups.
  • Serve as initial contact and provide prospective students information on academic programs and services in TargetX/Salesforce.
  • Recruit students from assigned high schools and territories, which includes personal visits to each high school, appointments with high school students, and presentations to them and their parents.
  • Ensure prospective students are scheduled for placement testing appointments and complete their FAFSA.
  • Answer and log incoming calls and emails about application status, testing, new student orientation, registration, academic programs, and other related areas. Log incoming calls and emails in TargetX/Salesforce student records to develop a history of communications.
  • Develop relationships with guidance counselors and other appropriate staff at assigned high schools.
  • From TargetX, identify all applicants (New, Returning, and Transfer)
    1. Register applicant for New Student Orientation (NSO) once testing is complete or waived
  • Contact students who have filled out an application but have not registered for the following semester to assist with the registration

Assessment

  • Utilize the TargetX/Salesforce dashboard and reporting modules to evaluate yield or conversion rates from inquiry applicant to enrollment stage.

Other Duties

  • Develop relationships with the community by giving presentations or orientations about LCCC to community service agencies, CBOs, and employers as requested.
  • Works in a team environment and collaborates with staff to meet enrollment goals.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Education

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Foreign degrees – must provide a US equivalency report of your degree credentials with your transcript, if not, your resume will not be accepted.

Certifications

  • Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)

Work Experience:

  • Must demonstrate ability to work within a team-oriented environment, possess strong interpersonal written and oral skills, ability to conduct a variety of presentations, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must demonstrate a keen understanding of customer service concepts.
  • Must possess the ability to work in a collaborative environment with a diverse population and have an appreciation for community college educational resources and opportunities. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Must be able to travel to other off-campus sites, schools, and admission events.
  • Must possess a high level of work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge. 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • College admissions or financial aid experience.
  • Bilingual
