General Studies A.A. (GSAA)
What is a Degree in General Studies?
The General Studies degree prepares students for transfer to a four-year college or university. This program is designed for a flexible option for students interested in continuing their studies in a more specific major at the bachelor’s level. Students study a balanced program of humanities, mathematics, science, and social science courses as a foundation for further learning. The program also allows student to choose coursework that will specifically prepare them for their transfer degree.
Students should consult with an academic advisor to ensure that courses meet the requirements of the bachelor’s program that a students plans to attend after completion of their associates degree.

Bachelor’s Transfer Schools
Pennsylvania offers statewide program-to-program articulation. This allows students who graduate with specific associate degrees to transfer as juniors into a bachelor’s degree program in a similar field of study at a participating four-year college.
