Students Can Earn Credits in LCCC Fall Late Start Sessions

Schnecksville, Pa., Sept. 5, 2024 – Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer fall late start accelerated sessions for students needing to earn credits in a fast format. A 10-week fall session will be held from Oct. 1 through Dec. 14, and a seven-week session is set for Oct. 23 through Dec. 14. Continuing and new LCCC students are encouraged to enroll.

Classes in the 10-week session (starting Oct. 1) are mostly offered online and remotely. Online courses provide course content, assignments and all assessments within the Canvas learning management system. Remote courses provide a live, real-time virtual classroom experience for students who do not attend class in person. Students can take courses in a range of subject areas, including accounting, art, business, computer science, criminal justice, economics, English, history, mathematics, music, speech, psychology, sociology, Spanish and more.

Available classes in the seven-week session (starting Oct. 23) are offered online and include courses in business, computer science, economics, English, history and speech.

Tuition (including fees) is $186 per credit hour for students from one of LCCC’s sponsoring school districts and $330 per credit for other Pennsylvania residents. Schuylkill County residents pay $262.50 a credit, and out-of-state or foreign students pay $474 a credit. Tuition and fees are due at the time of registration.

New students can apply for admission online at www.lccc.edu/admissions. Students can apply for financial aid by completing the 2024-25 FAFSA online at www.studentaid.gov.

Those seeking a degree must complete a placement test, or meet requirements for exemption, and meet with an advisor, either virtually or in-person, before registering for classes. Students can pay online or in person at the Business Office in Schnecksville, as well as sites in Tamaqua and Allentown.
