Financial Aid and Your Bill
When you register for classes with the college during a semester, you create a bill with the College. You are responsible for payment of those charges and should know the tuition and fees and balance due dates as displayed on our College website.
The Office of Financial Aid always advises students to file their FAFSAs on time and apply for financial aid any time after October 1 of the previous calendar year and by May 1 of the same calendar year of fall attendance for optimal consideration for financial aid.
Financial aid is issued by the Office of Financial Aid to assist with the costs of tuition and fees and books and supplies. Financial aid is not intended to pay for personal expenses such as vacations, clothing, jewelry or electronic devices.
You may receive enough financial aid to cover your entire bill and then you will not need to make any additional payments.
However if your financial aid is not enough to cover your bill OR financial aid is not in place by the bill due date, then you must make other payment arrangements. Click here to access the Business Office/ Payments arrangements.
Financial Aid and the Cougar Payment Plan
If you enter into a payment plan agreement you must continue to make payments until all additional documentation has been received, your FAFSA has been reviewed and all of your financial aid has been finalized. An official award notification will be sent to you and is also available on the LCCC portal. If you have paid more than the balance owed, you will be refunded any overpayment after financial aid funds are disbursed.
