Student Employment

Student employment is more than a job. It is an experience which involves a commitment as well as interaction with the LCCC community. Student employees are highly valued by faculty, staff, and students. LCCC Student Employment Program assist students in finding part-time employment at the college that will enable them to learn and practice valuable work-related skills while assisting them in meeting educationally related expenses. This hands-on work experience provides a well-rounded education for students and also establishes a foundation upon which future employment/career goals can be built.

Students gain relevant knowledge and skills required to begin their career. Internships are designed to allow students to combine classroom study with practical on-the-job experience.

Perfect Fit

Allentown YWCA Perfect Fit understands the significance of dressing confidently on your career journey. Their mission is to empower women by offering the perfect attire to match your ambition and potential. To access our services, please reach out to the Career Development Center at careerservices@lccc.edu for a referral. With a referral, you’ll have the opportunity to visit us multiple times, ensuring that you have the support you need throughout your career advancement journey. Without a referral, visits are limited to one outfit.

Focus2 Career Guidance

FOCUS is a self-paced, online career and education planning tool for use by college students. It will enable you to self-assess your career relevant personal qualities and explore career fields and major areas of study that are most compatible with your assessment results. Students who use FOCUS make better decisions about their goals and plans and learn how to self-manage their careers.

Use FOCUS to help you choose or change your major and also to verify your preferences or early choice of a career field.

U-Thrive Career Educational Services

Cultural competency is important for college graduates. Our communities continue to grow more diverse and our workforce as well. Understanding and collaborating effectively with people of all different backgrounds is important to employers in various sectors. Through the Uthrive platform, we are happy to offer the opportunity to LCCC students to complete a free training on diversity, equity, and inclusion, earning a certificate of completion at the end!
